To provide an intellectual setting for meetings, a high-quality marine-oriented gift shop, and research and teaching collections of biological specimens of local importance.

5 acre sub-tropical garden featuring vernacular architecture and collections of palms, bromeliads, orchids, herbs, bonsai and other plants. Gift shop on site. 64-acre expansion underway. Recently received 100 Bonsai from Bonsai Master Jim Smith. Display will be opened late April.
