Sports Museum of America
New York, New York

Specialized

The Sports Museum of America is the nation's first and only museum to celebrate sports - all sports - under one roof. SmA was created in partnership with more than 50 leading single-sport halls of fame, national governing bodies, museums and other sports organizations across North America, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the United States Tennis Association, the United States Olympic Committee, and the Jackie Robinson Foundation. Incredibly, it's never been done before - halls of fame have been created to celebrate one sport, or one city or state's sports heroics, but no museum has ever covered all sports on a national basis, examining the history, grandeur and significance of sports as it relates to American culture.
