The Nave Museum is the only fine arts museum in the Golden Crescent Region. We showcase 5 to 7 exhibits each year selected on the broad educational goal of displaying important contemporary work, exploring the possibilities of certain media or style and displaying works from the past that continue to bear relevance by offering the public a contemporary knowledge and understanding of art.

The McNamara House Museum was built in 1876 for William J. McNamara, his wife and four daughters. Opened as a historical house in 1961, this family home is a prime example of Victorian style and design, it was the recepient of the 2nd Texas Historic Landmark medallion awarded. The staff strives to interpret the life style of a typical middle-class South Texas merchant between 1876 and 1913.
