Midland, Texas
Description

The gallery is located in the main foyer of the Allison Fine Arts Building and annually hosts multiple exhibits of works in a wide range of media. For additional information regarding the McCormick Gallery, telephone (432) 685-4770.

Every year we have a full calendar of exhibits including our Studio 3600 Series, held in both the Spring and Fall, featuring the works of two of our very talented students in a solo setting. We also host the Midland Arts Association/Midland College Fall Juried Art Exhibition, which includes up to 140 pieces of extraordinary work from artists all over Texas! Each Spring and Fall we host our Student Art Shows, complete with a reception, Art & Sandwiches at High Noon, in which the community is invited to enjoy the wonderful works of art as well as enjoy a free lunch!

Mission

Our mission is to exhibit, collect and preserve works of art for all to enjoy, share with others and benefit future generations. Whether you are visiting for the first time, or returning, the McCormick Gallery will always provide an educational experience.

History

Created in 1978, the McCormick Gallery was a gift to Midland College by Leona (McCormick) Bryant Smith, in memory of her parents and brother.
