Nearly 300 artifacts are displayed in the museum that help tell the stories of the Native Americans, soldiers, settlers, slaves, tenant farmers and riverboat workers in the Delta and along the river. The "living artifacts" in our aquariums include: catfish, buffalo, sunfish and many other species of fish along with alligators and several species of turtles and snakes.
Interactive sections of the exhibition area include a dark conical chamber that will give those inside the impression of being in a diving bell submerged in the Mississippi.
