The 1890 whipple company store was the center of coal camp life in the turn of the century through the 50's The 18,000 sq ft building and its unique structure is captivating as well as wonderous to see. We strive to celebrate the cultural heritage of the west virginia coal miner and the familes that lived, wored and died here.
