Description

The Historical Society of Lincoln Park and its supporters collect and preserve artifacts, as well as printed and photographic materials pertaining to the history of Lincoln Park. We have interesting materials about the early French and German settlers and much about early Ecorse Township. These items are displayed with pride at the Lincoln Park Historical Museum.

Artifact Collections

Collections relating to the rich history of our community, which borders on the city of Detroit and the Detroit River.

Research Collections

We have extensive files relating to the business, school and family history of our city. also, publications relating to our collections.

Educational Programs

Tours are given by our volunteers; our monthly historical society programs, open to the public, may include lectures and/or performances; additional special events, open houses and activities are planned throughout the year. We are currently looking forward to our Open House and Exhibit celebrating the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, our city's namesake, which will feature student projects from schools all over Lincoln Park.
