The Whittier Museum was purchased from the phone company and has been operated by the Whittier Historical Society since 1971. The Whittier Museum serves the community as a vital resource for the collection, interpretation and preservation of the historical heritage of the greater Whittier area. From the __ of Pio Pico to Harriet Strong the city's history is richly portrayed in permanent and rotating exhibits.
