Description

From fossils to "fill 'er up", the story of black gold is told with videos, working models, games, displays, and an authentic turn-of-the-century cabletool drilling rig. In addition, the museum presents new exhibits of art, history and science.

History

The building was built in 1890 and was the original headquarters for Union Oil Company. Tours of the restored offices upstairs are given by request. The museum opened downstairs in 1950 and then in 1990 Union Oil restored the complete building including the upstairs offices. For more information go to our website at www.oilmuseum.net.

Wed-Sun 10-4, admission is $4 Adults, $3 Seniors, $1 Students 6-17 yrs., 5 and under are free. Closed major holidays.
