Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old.
Ark Encounter is situated in the beautiful Williamstown, Kentucky, halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington on I-75. From the moment you turn the corner and the towering Ark comes into view, to the friendly animals in the zoo, to the jaw-dropping exhibits inside the Ark, you’ll experience the pages of the Bible like never before.
This marvel of engineering is seven stories tall and is a football field and a half long. It is the largest timber-frame structure in the world, full of world-class exhibits designed to answer your questions about the biblical account of Noah’s Ark.
The Bible describes Noah’s Ark as a safe haven during the Flood for all kinds of air-breathing land animals and flying creatures God created. Naturally, people have many questions about the animals on Noah’s Ark. How could Noah fit all of them on board and care for so many animals? All of the zoo’s pens are fully viewable via paved trails.
Our Guest Services Team is ready to assist you with any needs during your visit to Ark Encounter. The Guest Services Information Center is available as you enter the park.
All service animals are freely admitted to Ark Encounter. Pets are not permitted at Ark Encounter. Please do not leave pets or service animals in an unattended vehicle for any amount of time. You may wish to find a local pet resort to house your pet for the day. Local pet accommodations are listed on the Ark website.
Ark Encounter’s restaurant and snack stands feature a variety of delicious food offerings, including options for special needs.
Ark Encounter offers a number of lockers for rent at daily rates.
Guest Services offers both strollers and wheelchairs for the convenience of all visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Virtually every exhibit is handicapped accessible. A series of gradual ramps take visitors through Ark Encounter’s main exhibits.
Ark Encounter exhibits are very visual and as you walk through them, you will find many video screens with open-captioned, short, educational videos. Much of the audio content at Ark Encounter is available visually in the exhibits.
Restrooms throughout the facility and grounds are handicapped accessible. Wheelchair accessible water fountains are also available near the main interior restrooms
