The Society of the Four Arts is a nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1936. Every season - from November through April - the Four Arts presents art exhibitions, notable speakers, concerts, films, and educational programs to the public.

Mission

The objective of the Society of the Four Arts is to encourage an appreciation of art, music, drama and literature through the presentation of notable programs of art exhibitions, concerts, lectures, films and the maintenance of a library.

The campus includes the 700-seat Walter S. Gubelmann auditorium, and multiple lecture halls and performances spaces.

The King Library

The library houses more than 75,000 books and periodicals, along with an extensive collection of DVDs and CDs. In addition, the Fine and Decorative Arts Collection offers extensive selections covering the topics of decorative and interior arts, photography, architecture, art, and art history. Notable collections include the personal library of Addison Mizner, among others, as part of the rare book room.
