Description

The museum features over 100 antique pieces of Mechanical Music ranging from the 1850's until the 1960's. Located in an old G.C. Murphey building in Franklin, PA. We hav emany talented tour guides who are always happy to give you a tour. All of our machines work and we can play more machines upon request.

We have a one of a kind Gift Shop specializing in musical gifts!!

Guided tours with admission fee on mail floor taking about one hour. Free admission to self guided area on lower level where there are coin operated machines.

Mission

DeBence Antique Music World will provide education and enjoyment for the public by sustaining, preserving, exhibiting and demonstrating an extensive collection of mechanical music instruments and other music related items in an environment appropriate to the age of the instruments. The Museum will serve as a "see and Hear" experience for all visitors.

History

Founded in 1994 with the purchase of a collection started by Jake and Elizabeth DeBence in the 1940s.

Artifact Collections

Hammond organs, reed organs, phonographs, 78 rpm records, 8 track tapes, Edison records, Band Organs

Educational Programs

We offer free music related mini-events each month, usually on the third Sundayat 1:30 PM. Programs range from technical to performing groups. Please call for details.
