Description

The Richfield Historical Society operates the historic Bartholomew House Museum as well as the Richfield History Center. The Bartholomew House dates to the early 1850s. The house reflects farm life in the pioneer and early statehood days of Minnesota. The Richfield History Center features a video on the history of the site and Richfield, a changing exhibit space, a genealogical and local history reasearch library, meeting space, storage and offices of the Historical Society. The History Center is currently under construction and is scheduled to open late in 2004.

Research Collections

Research materials focus on the history of Richfield, Minnesota, its inhabitants, businesses, buildings and historic events. The collection features newspapers, photographs, family histories and various research materials.
