Description

The Cedarburg Cultural Center simultaneously serves as an art gallery, museum, theater, rental facility, and art education venue for adults and youth. The galleries, classrooms and restrooms of the Center are wheelchair accessible. Also under the care and management of the Center are the historic Kuhefuss House Museum located at W63 N627 Washington Ave and the General Store Museum located at W61 N480 Washington Ave.

The Cedarburg Artists Guild's Main Street Gallery is a boutique of local fine art. One-of-a-kind art by local artists may be purchased and taken home to enjoy or give as a gift the same day.

Rental

Why not host your wedding reception, meeting, party or seminar at the Cedarburg Cultural Center located in the heart of Cedarburg's National Historic District! Your guests will thank you for choosing such a convenient location: a charming getaway yet only minutes from I-43 and the City of Milwaukee. Cedarburg is full of unique shops, restaurants and boutiques housed in quaint historic buildings.

Volunteering

Becoming a volunteer at the Cedarburg Cultural Center is more than just helping one of our community's non-profit organizations keep its doors open. Volunteers often make new friends when they help take tickets at performances, staff our desk at the General Store Museum, give tours at the Kuhefuss House Museum or simply gather at the Center to help with bulk mailings or answer phones during peak times. There are also many opportunities to join committees and work at our busy seasonal festival events. For information on volunteering contact Jean Lambo at 262-375-3676.

Mission

The mission of the Cedarburg Cultural Center is to provide a gathering place to celebrate community, art and local heritage.

History

The Cedarburg Cultural Center was established in 1985 by a group of creative and energetic private citizens who wanted a place for the appreciation of culture in Cedarburg, including fine arts and preservation of its rich heritage.

Artifact Collections

The Roger C. Christiansen Collection of early 20th century packaging and advertising art is housed in the General Store Museum at W61 N480 Washington Avenue

Educational Programs

The Cedarburg Cultural Center offers a variety of youth and adult art education classes for all skill levels, including drawing, painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil), ceramics, mosaic, photography, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, and more.
