University of Wisconsin Stevens Point Natural History Museum
Stevens Point, Wisconsin
Description
The UWSP Museum is closed temporarily!

The museum has moved to a new permanent location inside the Science Building, 2001 Fourth Avenue. Best of all, we will now be situated directly below the Blocher Planetarium in the A-Wing on the first floor, offering visitors easy access to both of our facilities.

When will the museum reopen?

Our goal is to reopen our gift shop, and begin some community programming in fall 2023. However, the full remodeling of our space will occur in multiple phases over the next several years. Follow us on Facebook for current move status. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Abour our museum

The UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History is an integral resource within the College of Letters and Science. The Museum houses ethnographic and natural science research collections reflecting the diversity in nature and among human cultures.

Mission

The Museum of Natural History is an integral educational entity within the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point concerned with diversity and relationships in nature and among cultures. We provide an opportunity for greater public understanding and appreciation for the world in which we live through exhibitions, education, research, and public service.

The initial museum exhibit space, founded in 1968, was located in the Science Building and overseen by Bob Searles. We will reopen a portion of the exhibits and resume programming, following our move from Albertson Hall.
