The Scituate Historical Society holds several formal programs throughout the calendar year. Each January we meet at the Harbor United Methodist Church for a dinner program, and each March we hold a dinner meeting as well.
From May to August we hold special free lectures at the Scituate Town Library, and each July and August we open our buildings to the public on selected dates. The first weekend of August we join the town in celebrating Scituate Heritage Days, with a booth on Front Street in Scituate Harbor Village, and all of our sites open to the public.
Each October we can be found at Octoberfest in North Scituate Village and meeting again at the Harbor United Methodist Church for dinner and a program. Each November we hold our annual Book and Gift Sale at the Scituate Maritime & Irish Mossing Museum, with a Last Chance Book Sale at the Kathleen Laidlaw Historical Center in mid-December. That month also finds us opening the Cudworth House one Sunday decorated for the season, "Cudworth Christmas".
Throughout the year we also hold several special events, such as exhibit opening receptions, art shows, dessert bar programs, and more.
