Description

The Tennessee Historical Commission provides management over site and the Governor John Sevier Memorial Association (GJSMA for short) is a local organization which runs the daily operation of the park. The GJSMA is also in charge of the numerous ongoing restoration projects around the park, not only to keep and maintain the exciting eight historical buildings, but to expand when possible the other buildings and workshops of John Sevier’s time.

For those folks who are interested in a close encounter with the 1700’s and would like to participate in reenacting should ask about the local reenacting group. They help those who want to learn more about the people and their way of life by dressing, acting and living the same way people lived in John Sevier’s time. For any other help or information on activities, programs or dealing with the operations and support, please contact the site manager.

The Marble Springs Historic Site is available for private or commercial rental. School visits are always welcome, but must be prearranged.

Marble Springs may be reserved for a variety of special events. These events could include but are not limited to weddings, receptions, picnics, family reunions, graduations, birthday parties and more. This rural setting of 34 acres and 7 historic buildings, several natural springs, hiking trails and a pavilion provides the ideal surroundings for any event.
