DeBary Hall Historic Site

Owned by the State of Florida and managed by the County of Volusia, DeBary Hall was built in 1871 and restored in the 1990's. This Italianate style hunting retreat tells its story through period rooms and impressive exhibits focusing on the history of the St. Johns River. DeBary Hall Historic Site is an important part of the St. Johns River country and the central Florida community with goals to preserve and interpret artifacts, photos and archaeological materials relating to the St. Johns River history. The site is dedicated to providing visitors with the history of the St. Johns River area through educational experiences such as guided museum tours including permanent and temporary exhibits, special events, family programming, and outreach efforts.

Deering Estate at Cutler

The Deering Estate at Cutler, a Miami-Dade County Park, is located at 16701 SW 72 Avenue in Miami. This 444-acre natural and archeological preserve and historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as a center for education, culture and recreation. Historic house tours are offered daily at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm. Natural areas tours are offered daily at 12:30 pm (October – May). Both the League and the City agreed that an art center would be a wonderful heritage for the City of Dunedin.

De Soto National Memorial

The Delray Beach Historical Society campus located at the corner of NE First Street and North Swinton Avenue includes three restored houses. Cason Cottage is a museum reflecting South Florida family lifestyle from 1924 to 1935. The 1926 Florida Bungalow houses the historical society's administrative offices and exhibit space. The 1908 Hunt House houses the Ethel Sterling Williams History Learning Center & Archives, exhibit space, curator's office, conference room, and separate archival storage.

Located inside the Florida Public Archaeology Network headquarters in downtown Pensacola, the Destination Archaeology Resource Center is an archaeology museum open to the public. Inside you will learn about the amazing archaeological sites that you can visit and experience throughout the state. Our exhibits include displays about both land and underwater archaeology sites. We showcase heritage sites open to the public within the eight regions of the FPAN with traditional and interactive displays, including touchscreens, tablet computers and artifacts. Additionally, our museum hosts a variety of free exhibits, events, and programs throughout the year.

Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing

To preserve the history of drag racing one of the original forms of auto racing known to man through restoration, and preservation of historical vehicles, involvement in research of said history, honoring prominent individuals who were the sports' pioneers, development of a National Archive and Library, collecting, documentation of state history, educating the general public on the history and progress of all racing and presenting the uniqueness of this sport auto racing.
