Sacramento River Discovery Center
Red Bluff, California

Children's, Natural History, Nature Centers

The Red Bluff Recreation Area and the Sacramento River Discovery Center are the best kept secrets around. The 488 acre area is located on the banks of the Sacramento River by the Red Bluff Diversion Dam just south of Red Bluff, CA. Our mission is to promote stewardship of the Sacramento River watershed which has been identified as one of the 200 most diverse ecosystems in the world that must be preserved. We are housed in a temporary building, and are developing a capitol campaign to build a straw bale permanent building which contains all recycled materials to demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable future where our use of natural resources doesn't deny these resources for future generations.
